Master Handler Certification
The Master Handler Course is available entirely online and concludes with the final exam to become a Certified Handler through our program at Seven Oaks Farm PLUS registration for one Miniature Therapy Horse through Seven Oaks Farm. An online student book is included. You can read the guide online and you will be able to print the entire book or each section as you go through the course. The book has over 100+ pages and 20 updated sections and additional documents. These include forms and letters designed for our program for you to use. (FOR US STUDENTS ONLY, You can order a printed copy of the student book an addition price of $35 plus shipping) You will receive feedback on your test and videos by our staff. We try to keep a close relationship with all our students through mentoring so that you can get the most out this course. Also included with this course is our Miniature Therapy Horse Registration course and test for your miniature horse. You and your horse both have required competencies that are taught in the course together.
This extensive program is presented by Lisa Moad, owner of Seven Oaks Farm and founder of Seven Oaks Farm Miniature Therapy Horses. This series can be watched at your own pace as you are able. There is no time requirement for you or your horse. Once you have finished the lecture, you will be prompted to take a quiz online over what you have learned. Each section also requires students to submit videos demonstrating competency of each area. After finishing all of the series, there will be a final online exam and video exam before certification is given.
Before you purchase this seminar, please make sure you have read through these requirements:
You will be required to send in a clean FBI background check to complete your handler registration. (Requirement varies by state) Also a negative TB test before final exam.
It would be required to setup a Google email account for the course; most of the links that you will be using will be either GoogleDocs or YouTube videos - these are much easier to access with a Gmail account.
You will be required to send video clips and written logs of your handler work, so you may want to enlist the help of a friend or family member to help you with this certification.
You will need ample access to the internet - enough to stream videos. Example can be found on our site and allow to click on the various links.
Once your payment is completed, you will receive login information and further instruction via a separate email so you can immediately access the course. Expect your bound paper copy of the student book to arrive through the mail within few weeks of purchase. Registration for one Miniature Therapy Horse is include in the $500 price. You can add horses for an additional fee of $100 per horse.
