Jr. Handler Certification

We are excited to announce the introduction of a Junior Handler Certification Course. The materials and coursework will be the exact same as the Master Handler Certification Course with lectures, reading materials, quizzes and a final exam. The work will not be easy, but for the student who is very interested but not yet 18 years of age, this certification can be the first step for these participants.

Junior Handlers will be able to register one horse, and all registration and certification will be at the discretion of the evaluators. As a junior, there will be no requirements for a federal background check or negative TB test - but there will be video submission requirements and google drive document submissions the participant must submit in order to receive their Junior Certificate.

Once the junior has reached age 18, they will be able to apply for the Master Handler Certification for an additional $250. At that time, they will need to send in current handler logs of their activity, as well as a federal background check and negative TB test. After this, as long as the handler sends in current updated logs - they are considered an active handler.
