Compassion Meets Action

IMG_1805.jpg

This fall we will be presenting our anti-bullying program to third grade classes in the Hamilton and Cincinnati school areas. We believe it is a great program that teaches children what bullying is, how to help themselves and that difference are good. The program uses our miniature horses to present concepts and ideas to the children they will remember and understand. We also partner with Officers from the Hamilton, Ross and Cincinnati Police Departments to help present the program. Each classroom receives a teachers guide with activity pages and ideas for classroom use. The children also get to meet our horses at the end of the presentation. As you might guess the program has a cost related to it. We do not charge the schools we visit, we feel the program is important and every child should be a part of it. We are encouraging local businesses to partner with us and help bring this program to every third grade student in our community. Partnering with our local businesses helps us be the place where compassion meets action. Each partner will see directly how their dollars are being used to teach and empower the children we touch. Do you or do you know a business that might be interested in partnering with us to present, "Just Say Whoa to Bullying"? Contact Lisa or anyone on our team and we will show you first hand how you can be a part of this exciting program where compassion meets action. Your dollars allow us to be your hands and feet in the lives of our students in our local schools.

Thank You!

We are always very thankful for our volunteers, friends and supporters. We are especially grateful that Four Corners Church had the desire to walk along side us and provide financial support to our program. Four Corners Church is located in West Chester, right off of I-75, they seeks to serve the same communities we serve. Their mission is "Real Love Now" The church and its people have served us for many years with providing volunteers and helping us get our name out in the community. They are friends to our program and we couldn't be more proud to partner with them. Their generous donation will allow us to meet two of our goals, serving hospice patients and special needs children. We would like to say a very big thank you to Four Corners Church and their continue support and faith in Seven Oaks Farm Miniature Therapy Horses. Together we are serving others, bringing joy and offering hope.

How Can I Help?

Are you itching to get involved? Would you love to make a difference? We have many ways you can help with our programs. Here's some ideas:

  • Follow us on social media & share our posts. We're on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Help us spread the word about our #ittybittyhorses

  • Volunteer! As a working farm we have many jobs we cannot do just on our own. Contact Shelby our Volunteer Coordinator to schedule a time to come help out. Some of the jobs we would have you do would include:
    • walking and training horses
    • mucking stalls
    • cleaning the barn
    • clearing and maintaining fields, pastures, and fence line

  • Donate! You can help with everyday costs, like feed or hay or become one of our "Guardian Angels" and sponsor a horse for a year. Donations of certain values help us with various costs for our therapy horses. Some ideas are:
    • full sponsorship for one horse for a year ($1,200)
    • partial sponsorship for one horse for a year ($300)
    • average cost per visit ($150)
    • vet visit ($85)
    • custom therapy vest ($65)
    • one horses' feed and hay for the month ($45)
    • bedding for a stall ($40)
    • farrier hoof trim for one horse ($35)
    • fuel for one visit ($30)
    • one bag of grain ($18)
    • a book for our reading program ($10)

Thank You. It's because of your willingness to help and generous donation that we can continue to serve others, bring joy, and offer hope.
